FAIRLINE’S TARGA 63 GTO WINNER 2017 WORLD YACHTS TROPHIES

British luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Yachts, was last night announced as the winner of the best exterior design in the 50-80ft yachts category at the highly coveted World Yachts Trophies, the annual ‘Oscars’ of the yachting industry.

The award-winning star of the night was Fairline’s newly-launched Targa 63 GTO, the culmination of the brand’s collaboration with world-renowned superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini – who also picked up the esteemed Designer of the Year award.

The Targa 63 GTO features the world-class combination of Mancini’s stunning Italian styling, rigorous and proven naval architecture by renowned Dutch firm Vripack and the hand-crafted, made in Great Britain quality of Fairline’s passionate and skilled craftsmen.

Judges commended Fairline, praising the quality, craftsmanship and collaborative work that went into creating the Targa 63 GTO.

The World Yachts Trophies are one of the world’s most prestigious award ceremonies in the luxury motor yacht industry, with the honours attributed to only the finest boats and builders of the last 12 months.

FAIRLINE brings added style to it’s 48 foot model range with a host of design upgrades.

 

Luxury British motor boat manufacturer, Fairline Yachts announces it is introducing a range of design upgrades across it’s 48-foot model range which includes the Targa 48 GT, Targa 48 OPEN & the Squadron 48 (pictured above).

World renowned Italian yacht designer, Alberto Mancini, has been working with Fairline to create new yachts such as the Targa 63 GTO - set to launch at Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 – and his creative flair has been utilised by Fairline’s design team. The upgrades to the 48-foot range include a reworked interior to maximise quality, comfort and style, along with a backlit ‘spear’ emblem on the hull, illuminating the word ‘Targa’. The updated interior has been made even more luxurious by the addition of the same hull windows that feature on the Targa 63 GTO - allowing the interior to be bathed in natural light.  Russell Currie, Fairline’s Managing Director, says, “Fairline’s range of 48-foot boats features some of our most popular yachts, and we were eager to future-proof these much-loved models for our customers to enjoy for years to come. FAIRLINE celebrates it’s 50th Anniversary in Style with Spectacular Owner’s Party

British luxury boat builder, Fairline Yachts, last night celebrated it’s 50th anniversary in style with a spectacular owners’ party held at Port de Soller in Mallorca, in the Balearic Islands, Spain.

Port de Sóller is situated in one of Mallorca's most beautiful horseshoe harbours on the west coast of the island. Surrounded by the Tramuntana Mountains, this picturesque marina has both magnificent mountain scenery and a superb sea view.  

Family and friends of the British brand made up the largest gathering of Fairline boats ever seen, with a record number of 50 yachts from across the Fairline range providing a stunning backdrop to the celebrations – the line up even featured an original Fairline 19, which was the first boat produced by Fairline in 1967. With a live band, DJ, a spectacular Argentinean BBQ, cocktails, fine wines and over 300 guests, the night was one of Fairline’s significant Golden Moments from its anniversary year.

Managing Director of Fairline Yachts, Russell Currie, comments, “We wanted to honour Fairline’s 50th anniversary in a truly momentous way and we were so pleased to welcome over 50 Fairline boats – the most Fairlines there have ever been in one location - to the beautiful Port de Sóller to celebrate with us!”

Under the leadership of a highly experienced marine industry management team, the company has employed 227 people, launched two new models (the Targa 53 OPEN and Squadron 53), updated the interior finishes across the 48ft model range, added a hardtop option and new interior to the Squadron 65 and unveiled plans for two highly anticipated and completely new boats. These upcoming models are the Targa 43 OPEN and the Targa 63 GTO, both of which have been created by renowned Italian superyacht designer, Alberto Mancini.
